Your gig list

Every gig lives in one list, organised by year: upcoming gigs, might-go plans, and your full past history. A highlighted carousel sits at the top, an On this day card resurfaces memories from previous years, and gigs that are live right now get a badge. Dates respect the venue's local time zone everywhere — lists, details, widgets, sharing, and calendar export. Cancelled gigs are kept separately so your history stays complete.

Adding gigs

The Add Gig sheet starts with artist search, your want-to-see artists, and suggested upcoming gigs. Pick an artist, choose a date and venue, and land in a prefilled form. You can also paste a link, drop a file, pick a photo, or scan a poster or ticket with the camera — live edge tracking recognises the artwork, isolates it, and peels it into place so you can add the gig straight away. Venue picking offers nearby venues you've been to, search, or a tap-on-map selection, and the app warns about likely duplicates.

With Visual Intelligence, pointing the camera at a poster (or selecting one in a screenshot) surfaces Gigs as a result and opens a ready-made Add Gig draft with artists already matched on Apple Music.

Importing your history

Years of concert history come in from setlist.fm (unlimited on the free plan), Concert Archives, or a CSV file with column mapping. Photos, posters, PDFs, and links are parsed with on-device Apple Intelligence into complete gig drafts. Imports run during onboarding or later from Settings, with duplicate review before finishing.

Gig details

Each gig gets a rich detail page: poster art, line-up, setlists per artist, venue information (location, opening hours, parking, reviews, and photos), and a weather forecast for upcoming shows. You can write notes, attach photos and videos with smart date-based suggestions, present ticket barcodes at the door, track ticket sale windows with reminders, and read an on-device AI summary of the gig (beta). After the show, rate each performance, build an Apple Music playlist from the setlist, or add the gig to your calendar — one tap manually, or automatically with Calendar Sync (Gold).

Sharing

Turn any gig into a share image in four styles — Poster, Poster Text, Minimal, or Ticket — in square or story format, shared through the system share sheet or straight to Instagram Stories.

Want to See, Search, and the venues map

A bucket list keeps artists you want to see live, ready to convert into a real gig when plans firm up. Search covers artists, venues, event types, and dates with suggestions and tokens. The interactive venues map shows every venue you've visited and surfaces nearby music venues you haven't been to yet; tapping a pin tears the map open (a Metal shader effect) to reveal venue details underneath.

Artist pages, profile, and stats

Artist pages show a bio, how many times you've seen them, past gigs, recent setlists, and upcoming shows you can add directly. Your profile collects yearly and all-time stats: top artists, genre breakdown, average rating, busiest days and months, concerts vs festivals, favourite venue, and top city — complete with a custom generated city image you can share.

Achievements and memberships

Nineteen badges celebrate your live-music history — from Soundcheck (your first gig) to World Tour (500 gigs) — with secret achievements for gigs in Manchester and Amsterdam. Many unlock alternate app icons. A memberships section stores venue season passes and fan club cards, detects barcodes from a scan, and presents them at the door.

Gigs Gold

The optional subscription adds iCloud backup across devices, automatic Calendar Sync, CSV export, full achievements, deeper stats, unlimited photos and videos, unlimited imports, and an ad-free experience.

Siri, Shortcuts, and system integration

Gigs is deeply integrated with the system: Siri and Shortcuts can add, edit, and rate gigs, show your next show, check the weather, and import from a URL. On iOS 27 and later, gigs and artists use Apple schema-backed App Entities so Siri and Apple Intelligence understand gigs as calendar events and artists as audio artists. Gigs appear in Spotlight, open from deeplinks, and support keyboard shortcuts on iPad.

Widget and Share extension

A Home Screen and Lock Screen widget counts down to your next gig with poster art — including a Mark as Going button right on the Lock Screen. The Share extension imports a link, PDF, image, or file from any app through the system share sheet.

Mac

The Mac app shares the core experience — gig list, adding and editing, imports, details, stats, memberships, achievements, and Gigs Gold — with full sidebar navigation, keyboard shortcuts, iCloud sync, native calendar integration, and background imports.
